JOB DESCRIPTION
System Operations & Monitoring
- Perform daily monitoring of the SAP S/4HANA system, including batch job monitoring (SM37), system log review (SM21), and dump analysis (ST22).
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify abnormalities or incidents in a timely manner.
Transport Management & System Connectivity
- Execute transport requests via STMS following the standard landscape flow: DEV → QAS → PRD.
- Manage RFC connections and validate system connectivity using SM59.
- Configure and maintain SSL/TLS certificates through STRUST.
Database & Operating System Administration
- Support administration of SAP HANA, SAP ASE (Sybase), and IBM Db2 databases, including health checks, backup verification, and storage monitoring.
- Perform basic OS administration tasks on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server / Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments related to SAP systems.
Backup & Restore
- Execute and periodically verify database backups in accordance with customer backup policies.
- Support database/system restore activities in case of incidents under the guidance of the team lead.
Incident Management
- Receive, classify, and resolve L1–L2 incidents as part of SAP Basis support operations.
- Analyze logs and traces to identify basic root causes and provide clear incident reports.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Infrastructure teams and Functional Consultants.
- Support operational activities such as system refresh, user administration, and transport management as required.
REQUIREMENT
₋ From 6 months to 3 years of experience in SAP Basis Consultant; fresh graduates with fundamental SAP knowledge are also considered
₋ Hands-on knowledge of SAP transactions: SM37, SM21, ST22, SM59, STMS, STRUST
₋ Basic knowledge of SAP HANA Studio / SAP HANA Cockpit, including backup operations and alert monitoring
₋ Basic command-line administration on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server / Red Hat Enterprise Linux
₋ Ability to analyze work process logs, system logs, and basic ABAP dumps
₋ Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English
₋ English: TOEIC 650 / IELTS 6.0 or equivalent qualifications.
Preferred Skills
₋ Experience with SAP Fiori (Fiori Launchpad, tile configuration).
₋ Knowledge of High Availability / Disaster Recovery concepts (HANA System Replication, failover).
₋ Knowledge of SAP on Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
₋ Experience participating in SAP implementation or support projects.
