GELEX Electric is a key member of the GELEX Group, specializing in the production and supply of products within the electricity sector value chain. With well-known brands such as CADIVI, EMIC, THIBIDI, HEM, and CFT, GELEX Electric is not only the largest contributor to the Group's revenue and profits but also plays a vital role in its long-term development strategy. In order to strengthen its operational capacity, improve data transparency, and expand its international competitiveness, GELEX Electric has recognized digital transformation as a strategic priority.

With a focus on digitalizing overall management processes, GELEX Electric has chosen to partner with Citek to implement the SAP S/4HANA system – the world’s leading ERP solution. The integration of SAP Analytics Cloud (BI) will help enhance process cohesion and increase automation across GELEX Electric’s operations.

Starting the digital transformation journey, CADIVI became the first subsidiary of GELEX Electric to implement the SAP ERP enterprise resource planning system, with a total investment of over 2 million USD (approximately 43 billion VND). The project officially went live on January 1, 2020, marking a significant turning point as all production and business operations were digitized, along with the ability to track real-time operational indicators: production output, costs, inventory, sales, cash flow, resources, and operational expenses.

Building on the success of CADIVI's project, 2021 was identified by THIBIDI as a key year for management innovation. On April 1, 2021, the SAP S/4HANA enterprise management system was officially implemented and synchronized across all departments, branches, factories, and headquarters of THIBIDI. This event marked the culmination of 8 months of relentless efforts by the THIBIDI team and their technology partner, Citek.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Ngoc Thao, CEO of THIBIDI, shared: "The Citek and THIBIDI project teams worked tirelessly, day and night, handling a surge in workload to achieve the set objectives. At the same time, THIBIDI achieved a double victory: not only did we exceed all production, business, revenue, and profit targets, but we also successfully completed the management system transformation to enhance our competitive advantage."

Following the success of the projects at CADIVI and THIBIDI, GELEX Electric and EMIC chose to continue their partnership with Citek, with the expectation that the project will further contribute to the success story of digital transformation in Vietnam's electrical equipment manufacturing industry.

Building on the success of CADIVI's project, THIBIDI identified 2021 as a key year for management innovation. On April 1, 2021, the SAP S/4HANA enterprise management system was officially implemented and synchronized across all departments, branches, factories, and the headquarters of THIBIDI. This event marked the culmination of 8 months of tireless efforts by the THIBIDI team and their technology partner, Citek.

Representatives from the leadership teams of GELEX Electric and EMIC shared: "This is a significant day, marking the moment the company officially enters the digital revolution. The SAP S/4HANA project not only changes our management approach but also transforms the working mindset of the entire team. With this new platform, we are confident that the business will grow stronger in the near future."

On February 27, 2024, the project teams from Citek and GELEX ELECTRIC, along with its subsidiaries, agreed on a set of 370 management indicators, covering all activities from finance, management, business, expenses, receivables, inventory, cost, production, to procurement. This is the first step in data standardization, laying the foundation for the development of an effective reporting system.

Based on the established set of indicators, both parties developed 29 report groups and 380 automated report stories on the SAC platform for over 10 subsidiaries within the group. Data from source systems is automatically integrated, ensuring speed, security, and accuracy, creating a unified management system for the entire group.

- June 30, 2024: Completion of testing and operation of the first batch of reports.

- December 25, 2024: Completion of testing and operation of the final batch of reports.

- December 27, 2024: Project summary after 12 months of operation, officially launching the system for full-scale utilization.

At the commencement of the project, the project team clearly defined the objective: to build a centralized management system for the entire group—not merely to present data, but also to understand and take action based on that data. The outcomes achieved after 12 months of implementation demonstrate that the project team has successfully met the goals and commitments set forth.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in the realization of the group's comprehensive digital transformation strategy, while also affirming the correctness of the goals and implementation approach chosen from the outset.

At the Group level: GELEX owns a centralized data management system that ensures the provision of comprehensive, accurate, and timely information to support the management and decision-making processes of the Board of Directors. At the same time, the system serves as a foundational infrastructure towards the goal of achieving synchronized digital management across the entire group.

At the GELEX Electric level: Financial, production, and business data from subsidiary units are consolidated and standardized, providing a comprehensive view of operational activities—thereby enhancing internal management effectiveness and strategic planning capabilities.

At the subsidiary level: The affiliated units are equipped with flexible analysis and reporting tools, which help shorten the time for data consolidation, improve the accuracy of reports, and optimize daily work performance.

Official Launch Ceremony of the SAP Analytics Cloud Integrated Reporting System. Mr. Nguyen Trong Trung, CEO of GELEX Electric, affirmed: 'Digital transformation is a long-term process, not merely a trend but a critical factor for the survival of businesses in the new technological era. Especially for companies manufacturing industrial goods and high-tech equipment, digital transformation and the use of information technology tools are mandatory. Without this, we will soon be phased out.'

Citek is a great team that we have had the opportunity to work with. The content that Citek discussed and advised Mutosi, although not too long, was very complete and scientific, leading to the fact that Mutosi's team, even in management and leadership positions without experience in implementing ERP, could still very assured and easy to receive advice from the Citek team.

The SAP roll-out project, consulted and implemented by Citek, has helped Nippon Paint synchronize processes and data between our companies in Singapore and Vietnam. Additionally, standardized solutions aligned with VAS standards, VAS reporting packages, E-Invoice, and E-Banking were integrated. As a result, processing time, accounting closing periods, and report submission were reduced by up to seven days, enabling us to fully leverage the strengths of the group's analytical reporting system and apply it across various operations and units.
