A An Rice and Citek kick off SAP S/4HANA Cloud and C–Data Collection digital transformation project

A An Food Joint Stock Company is a member of Tan Long Group's leading multi-industry ecosystem in Southeast Asia. Since entering the rice processing and trading industry in 2010, Tan Long has grown into a trusted exporter to over 20 countries. In 2019, Tan Long established the A An Rice brand, the predecessor of the current A An Food Joint Stock Company, offering clean, safe packaged rice products for domestic consumers, gradually building A An Rice into a national rice brand, contributing to enhancing the value chain of Vietnamese rice production on the international stage. 

Recognizing the importance of applying technology in enterprise management to elevate management capabilities to international standards, Tan Long Group and A An decided to collaborate with Citek to simultaneously implement the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Enterprise Management system and Data Collection solution.

At the project’s signing and kick-off ceremony, Mr. Truong Manh Linh, Executive Director of the Rice Division at Tan Long Group, shared:

About the C-Data Collection Solution

Developed by Citek, the C–Data Collection solution leverages advanced IoT technologies—including PLC, sensors, RFID, microcontrollers, and custom-designed control boards with remote connectivity of up to 3 km—to automatically collect real-time data from machinery and production lines and transmit it directly to SAP S/4HANA.

This real-time data integration eliminates the need for manual data entry, reducing errors and delays. At A An, C–Data Collection will be applied across all rice production equipment, from inbound raw material handling via conveyor systems, through drying and semi-finished product processing, to final sortex and packaging stages.

According to the commitment, the system is consulted and implemented by Citek within 7 months and is expected to officially operate in January 2023. As the project director, Mr. Truong Manh Linh, Executive Director of the Rice Division at Tan Long Group, expressed confidence in Citek’s expertise and implementation capabilities to help A An successfully build this integrated management platform.
